How to Motivate Students to Love Reading

There are 10 ways that let you know how to motivate students to love reading:
Let students see you read: In order to encourage students to read then you should make sure that you read in front of them. For example while they are reading silent then you instead of grading their exams you can read a book, you can share the ideas in the book with them. Also you can tell them that you cannot wait to read before you go to bed.

Allow students to read the whole book before discussing it: If you discuss the book directly without giving opportunity to the students to read or if you always talk about the plot, setting or style then in this way you are taking all the fun and pleasure out of the story.

Invite a local author to class: In order to encourage students to love reading then you can invite a local author to your classroom to discuss their book. So here the students will love reading and maybe they will start love to be an author someday.

Teach students reading strategies: Some students feel that reading is hard so they avoid it. Our role as teachers to help the students know the strategies of teaching that let him feel confident and read fluently.

Set up a book club: Making book club or reading groups is very effective in let the students be able to share their thoughts. This will make the reading enjoyable and it enhances their comprehension skills.

Let students choose their own book: You should let the student choose the topic that he/she likes because if he/she likes the topic then he /she will love to read.

Use technology to create an e-book: Technology is the best way to encourage students to read because they are very interested in technology. So we can tell them that they can download an application that allow them to write their own book and share it with their friends.

Introduce students to a book series: There should be a book series for everyone. All you have to do is to find out what your students love and get them to read the first selection. Once they take the attractive idea then they will start to complete reading to know what will happen next.

Allow students to dislike books: Let the students say that this book they don't like it and you shouldn't let them read only what you like.

Help students see the importance of reading: For example if you give them a topic about how to live a longer life then this will encourage them to read more and let them know that reading is very important.

Quality Time With Children

Some people think that in order to let the child enjoy we must give him/her the phone to play games but this is wrong. We can spend a lot of time with our children and this time can be quality. Instead of let the child play games on the phone and hurt his/her eyes we can make a lot of activities and games that help in improving his/her learning. So we should let the student know that not only by using technology you can enjoy but also through several activities and games you can enjoy and benefit at the same time.

 









For example we can make pieces of papers, on each paper a letter and then they will start to make words using these letters. When I did this game to my sister's children they felt so excited and started to make like a competition who will find the letter first to make the word and win. So we can use a lot of activities that encourage our students to learn and enjoy at the same time.   

Bullying Effects on Education

Bullying has many bad effects on the health of the students, on their happiness and on their learning. The student who will be exposed to bullying will feel that he is lonely, there are no friends to sit with him and play with him. Also this student will feel unhappy and he will be always scare from other students in the class, from the teachers, from his parents or from any person in the world. Even if he go to a new place with new people he will start to think: If I said my opinion or if I do what I want then I will be exposed to bullying. So bullying will let the student be less interactive in the school and in the society. So bullying will affects the students' academic achievement in a bad way. Some students use bullying to prove that they are strong and with high self confidence. This is very bad and our role as teachers to prevent this from happening and try to change  the way of thinking for these students. The students that are exposed to bullying will have emotional problems and this will let them away from activities in the schools and always stay alone with low self confidence. So in general bullying will let the education move backward.    

Life of Chemists In the Laboratories

During my studies in chemistry every semester we had to take a lab which was related to the course that we were studying it. We get very nice experience, we had a lot of fun and we learned more at which all the ideas we became familiar with it because we tried using our hands and we saw what happened in front of our eyes so this will help us to remember even after many years. Teachers told us what are the safety rules that we should follow it to take care about ourselves like: don't eat or drink in the lab, lab coat, gloves, know what to do with the lab accidents and a lot of things. Moreover we smelled many bad substances in the lab. Hydrogen sulfide has a characteristic of rotten-egg odor. It is one of the most foul-smelling substances. We worked in a group, we had a lot of fun and really chemistry lab is very excited it is like cooking in the kitchen but you cannot taste. we made crystals and several mixtures that have different colors. So teaching students in the lab and let them try by themselves is a perfect and interesting idea that will leads to better results.   

Graduation Day

Graduation is the day that all the people like to reach it. My graduation day was one of the most beautiful days of my life. I waited a lot this day and worked hard to reach it. In my academic career there were somethings that are very hard but I always said that I can do it, I will never give up, I should graduate to start my job. Once I finished my final exams in the spring I was very excited to the preparation of graduation day.

Thanks to my parents. I love you so much. Dad you are my backbone and without you I will never be able to reach this day. Mom you are the only one who encourage me and stand next to me in my hard days. 

Importance of Technology In Education

1- Students Demand It:
Because students use technology most of the time outside the classroom. So technology become part of their lifestyle. Kids like to learn by using technology, they will be so interested and their will never be boring situations in the classes.
2- New Teachers Are Demanding It:
Also teachers feel that technology is very important for the learning environment. Technology will help teachers to do entertainment activities for the students to avoid boring as well as the technology facilitates a lot of the teachers' work.
3- Kids Are The Digital Native:
Nowadays adults don't know in technology as kids. Kids know better than adults and technology is the only easy way to learn because it becomes a part of their life. The using of technology in education does not mean that this will facilitate the learning and make it better, but they will also acquire multi-tasking skills.
4- Kids Can Learn At Their Own Pace:
Sometimes in old classrooms the kids will see that learning is somehow difficult. So with the use of technology in education learning will be much better and much easier. Students will be able to go back to the lessons and concepts and slow down.

When the students use information outside of the book then they will have many different ways to learn. Teachers can make activities for the students by using technology that are creative,interactive and funny. So using technology in education makes the learning hands-on. And this will change the learning environment to the better.

Most of the schools don't make online testing but it is very important. Testing online has a lot of advantages. And we can assess the performance of the students by using technology. Through online testing, the test score in real time helps the teacher to understand the students' grasp of the subject.
